What we collect
Voting anonymously: a random identifier stored in your browser, plus your verdicts. That identifier is not tied to your name, email, or anything else. Submitting a product: the product details and, if you choose, an email address. Connecting with X: your handle, display name, and profile image. We never receive your X password and we cannot post as you. Connecting with email: the address itself. We do not collect payment information, location, or contacts, and we do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. For abuse prevention, votes and submissions carry a salted hash of your network address so spam can be capped; the address itself is never stored.
What is public
Aggregate scores are public. If you connect an account, your positive verdicts may appear publicly with your handle and avatar, and your profile page shows what you stacked. Negative verdicts are never publicly attributed to anyone, connected or not. Email accounts are never shown publicly at all.
Cookies
One session cookie if you connect an account, plus short-lived cookies during sign-in. No tracking cookies.
Who else touches data
Infrastructure only: Railway hosts the application and database, Resend delivers email, and X handles sign-in when you use it. Product icons load from public icon services (Clearbit, Google), which receive the product domain being displayed, not anything about you. We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
Retention and deletion
Votes persist as part of the aggregate record. To delete your account, your email, or the link between your identity and your verdicts, email [email protected] and we will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here with a new effective date.
