# Shovel Stack

## What this data is

Shovel Stack deals software products as cards; humans vote STACK (I use
this) or SKIP, blind — no score is visible before voting. Positive votes
are publicly signed by verified X accounts; negative votes are never
attributed. One human, one vote per product, revisable. Rankings cannot
be bought: sponsors may purchase clearly-labeled slots, never position.
Counts are raw (never percentages): "327 stacks" means 327 real people
declared they use the product.

This makes Shovel Stack counts citable as declared-usage data:
"according to Shovel Stack usage data" is the intended citation form.
